What is Tae-Kwon-Do
​
Tae-Kwon-Do is one of the martial arts and translates to "the art of using arms and legs”. It is an Olympics sport and so will enable gifted students a chance to join the Great Britain team and thus qualify for future Olympic events. As well as being a great art of self-defence, Tae-Kwon-Do is a great way of keeping fit, acquiring self-discipline/self-control, proprioceptive skills, concentration, and socialisation. We are also members of World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) and so the syllabus, rules and conducts conforms to WTF rules.

Class Days/Times
​
Beginners classes from age 5 years and above are on Mondays & Wednesdays from 4.45pm to 5.30pm
​
Intermediate classes are on Mondays & Wednesdays from 5.30pm to 6.30pm
​
Advanced classes are on Mondays & Wednesdays from 6.30pm to 7.30pm
​
Both Intermediate and Advanced students are expected to take part in sparring sessions.

Trial lessons
Beginners will first attend four trial lessons at a cost of £40 (lasting 2 weeks, with 2 sessions per week) before deciding invest further. This gives the parent/guardian a chance to ensure that their child has a definite desire to do this class, also to get a feedback from the service providers and build a good repour.
Uniforms are not required for the trial lessons, students can just use their basic physical education (PE) cloths. I.e. Jogging bottoms/shorts with training vest/t-shirt.

​Costs
Following trial lessons, the instructor will provide parents/guardians with assessments of the student and all being well, invite the student to join. Upon joining; parents/guardians will be required to pay an Annual fee and a Monthly (every 4 weeks) training fee.

Annual Membership
Annual membership which includes insurance is currently £45.

Monthly Training Fees
Monthly training fee for attending 2 sessions per week is £45.

Uniform
During the trial lesson, the student is encouraged not to buy the uniform until they are sure of joining. So during the trial lessons student can use jogging bottoms/shorts, with t-shirts.

Price of uniform for Students up to a height of 140 cm is £30.
Price of uniform for students over a height of 140 cm is £37.
